Job Description – Specialist Neonatologist

Position: Specialist Neonatologist
Location: Oman
Experience: Minimum 4 Years (Post-Specialization)
Salary: OMR 3,000 per month

.Key Responsibilities-
Provide specialized medical care to newborns, including premature and critically ill infants.
Diagnose, treat, and manage neonatal conditions in accordance with evidence-based clinical practices.
Conduct comprehensive neonatal assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
Manage neonatal intensive care unit (NICU) patients, including ventilator support and emergency stabilization.
Perform neonatal resuscitation and other life-saving procedures when required.
Collaborate with obstetricians, pediatricians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
Monitor patient progress, maintain accurate medical records, and ensure timely documentation.
Counsel and educate parents regarding neonatal health, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
Adhere to hospital policies, quality standards, infection control protocols, and ethical medical practices.
Participate in clinical audits, continuous medical education, and departmental quality improvement initiatives.

.Eligibility Criteria
MD/DNB or equivalent postgraduate qualification in Pediatrics with specialization in Neonatology.
Minimum 4 years of post-specialization experience as a Neonatologist.
Strong clinical expertise in NICU management and neonatal emergencies.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Oman Prometric/DataFlow or eligibility is preferred (if applicable).
